You can search for images on the following sections of our website. Please be aware that while we have more than a million photographs in our collections, a small fraction are available for viewing online.:
THF Digital Collections website: https://www.thehenryford.org/collections-and-research/digital-collections/
THF Albums on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/thehenryford/sets/
Some of these images can be downloaded in high resolution immediately by clicking on the shopping cart in the bottom right hand corner of the image.
If the image does not have a shopping cart button, you’ll just need to fill out the appropriate Photograph Order Form and Use Agreement: https://www.thehenryford.org/collections-and-research/services/remote/. The form can be mailed or emailed to the BFRC's attention at the address below, or faxed to (313) 982-6244. Please be sure to include the Photo ID number for each image.
If you are unable to find images that meet your needs online, we can research our photo collections for you. Please keep in-mind that this will incur an additional research fee, depending on the nature of the research. Please see our website for details about our fee-based research service: https://www.thehenryford.org/collections-and-research/services/
We hope this information is helpful to you in your search for photographs. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions.
To set up an appointment to visit the research center call (313) 982-6020 or write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you wish to do research from offsite, please contact us in writing. Fees apply to many research requests, and we will clarify this when we receive your request. For more information on cost please see our research services. Requests for information can be emailed, faxed or mailed:
